That’s why we adhere to three foundational codes—Fair Practice, Diversity & Inclusion, and Cultural Governance—to ensure our festival operates ethically, transparently, and for the benefit of all.

How We Implement It

• Fair Pay: We guarantee equitable fees for filmmakers, crew, and freelancers, avoiding unpaid labor.

• Clear Contracts: Every collaboration is defined by transparent agreements, including rights and obligations.

• Work-Life Balance: We respect boundaries—no unrealistic deadlines or exploitative conditions.

• Open Dialogue: A dedicated email hi@mynameisclimate.com lets you report concerns anonymously.

For Filmmakers & Attendees

• Submit films through our international submission channel such as film freeway!

• Attend festival without obligation as long as you have your pre booked tickets from our platform!

2. The Diversity & Inclusion Code

Our Pledge

AIFF actively dismantles barriers in film by following the Dutch Diversity & Inclusion Code, ensuring access for all.

Tangible Actions

• Programming: At least 40% of selected films are by filmtime filmmakers, youth, women, LGBTQ+, BIPOC, or disabled filmmakers.

• Accessibility:

  • Screenings with subtitles (EN/NL) and audio descriptions.

  • Venues with wheelchair access and sensory-friendly spaces.

• Community Outreach: Free workshops for marginalised youth; scholarships for low-income attendees.

• Jury Diversity: Selection committees reflect varied backgrounds.

3. The Cultural Governance Code
